Purpose

The restless yet calculated mind behind the now infamous ‘If the City Had A Voice’ mixtape series, Purpose is hardly a new face in the Australian Hip-Hop scene. With the roots of a freestyle/battle rapper, he represented his city successfully nationwide early on, leading to a coveted spot in the Scribble Jam MC tournament in Cincinnati at 17. In short, Purpose was a wordsmith before he was legal.

With fast-paced, think on your feet lyricism to be envied, there is no stopping Purpose when he takes the time to sit down and craft a song. Already responsible for 7 street releases, both solo & group efforts spanning the last 5 years, Purpose is recognized not only as a rapper, but as a killer Producer with a diverse and fresh sound.

Purpose has supported Illy in sold out shows nationwide, was invited to play the 2010 Big Day Out with Pagen Elypsis, and has also supported Drapht on his home soil, Adelaide. His on-point, energetic live show has already toured the country extensively.

South Australia has surely produced some of the biggest names in hip hop and Purpose is flying the flag high for the next generation.

Acoustik

Acoustik are an acoustic rock duo that have been performing around Adelaide and South Australia for the past 9 years. Formally known as 'Acoustically Incorrect' Bonz & Neil play a wide range of hits from Pearl Jam, Powderfinger & Crowded House thru to Van Morrison & The Beatles.

Acoustik are an acoustic rock duo from Adelaide, South Australia...featuring Paul Bonsor on vocals and guitar and Neil Christopher on lead guitar and vocals.

Covering a wide range of cover songs, Acoustik have been playing across the pub scene for almost 10 years (formally known as "Acoustically Incorrect").  Acoustik are also available for private functions and weddings.

About:

Originally formed as "Acoustically Incorrect" in September, 2003, when Paul Bonsor met James Webster. Bonz and James worked hard to get things off the ground and was given a chance at the Leg Trap Hotel, West Lakes. Things took off from there and Acoustically Incorrect was on it's way. Not long after that James unfortunately was transfer back to Melbourne and Quentin Zervaas stepped up to the plate at the beginning of December, 2003.

Bonz and Quentin established AI as one of the more polished acoustic duo's in Adelaide, playing gigs from Port Adelaide to Mt. Barker. With Quentin's expertise (thanks mate) the website was launched in March, 2004. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, Quentin left AI at the end of July 2004.

Neil Christopher joined AI in August 2004 as we continue to grow into one of Adelaide's best duo's. Playing covers from the likes of Jack Johnson, Powderfinger, Pearl Jam, as well as classic hits from Van Morrison, The Beatles and The Doors, Acoustik are the perfect cover band.

We changed our name to ACOUSTIK on 1st January, 2012.

I would like to thank all of our friends that have supported us along the way Troy, Ady, Thomas & Molly, Fiona, Quentin, Adam and Ness, Touhs, Mat and Lee, Bill and the Steve's.
