Carla Waye

Adelaidian Pop and RnB Singer/ Songwriter Carla Waye is today's Eazy Entertainment's Artist of The Week. Started her career in the entertainment industry 10 years ago when she was just 14. Carla Waye joined a female pop group and performed regularly around Australia at different bars and nightclubs, NBL games, shopping centres, local events such as Tour Down Under and The Adelaide Fashion Festival. She then later on do open acts like the Australian 90’s Pop Duo, Bachelor Girl and International rapper, Flo Rida.

Born to a Filipino Mother and Caucasian Father, only a brief union will lead you to discover that Carla Waye has so much more to offer. At a young age Carla was regularly acknowledged by her natural soulful voice and so she dreamt it would one day take her on an electrifying journey. Forever fascinated by the intriguing world of ‘Pop Music,’ at 3 years of age she had the likes of Madonna, Michael Jackson and the Beatles constantly on repeat which soon led to her putting pen to paper with endeavors to create her own addictive melodies.

The highlights of her career have worked in the studio alongside the likes of Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan of ‘The Script’, Darryl Anthony from 90’s RnB Group ‘AZ Yet’ and Australian, ‘Cash Money’ signed Producer, Israel Cruz.

In 2011 Carla eagerly made the transition into the live music scene of Adelaide, performing regularly in Acoustic Duos and in a variety of high-energy cover bands most frequently in the fresh, fun and dynamic pop cover band, ‘All About Her.’

Her root influences stem from Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Beyonce, Aaliyah, Michael Jackson and the Motown era however she has a broad appreciation and respect of all genre’s and enjoys changing it up on stage.

Amongst this, she is a graduate of Sound Engineering School and currently runs her own Voice Studio and Artist Development business working with an array of young aspiring Artists in their development both on stage and in the recording studio.

Adelaide's own, Carla Waye is a seasoned performer, singing in nightclubs all over Australia, performing explosive sets at large events and opening for such acts as International superstar Flo Rida deserves to be the Eazy Entertainment's Artist of the Week. On May 2010, she headlined her own concert in the Philippines which resulted in a sell out event.

Robbie Miller

A young Brisbane artist, Robbie Miller, is Eazy Entertainment Australia's "Artist of the Week". This 24 year old Brisbane songwriter and singer won the Triple J's Unearthed National Indigenous Music Awards with his heart breaker of a tune "Don't Go Walking Away"

Robbie Miller grew up in the Caboolture area in Brisbane Queensland. He was brought up with the sounds of Neil Young, Cat Stevens and Van Morrison. His maternal grandmother is from the APY lands of Central Australia and his mother's father is from the Sabai Island in Torres Strait. Robbie started learning how to play a guitar in 2002 and started to write and record music. With his passion in music, he was able to finish school and graduated from the University of Technology in 2010. Robbie then got a job at Bond University, with the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience.

"AIME runs at universities around Australia mentoring high school kids to finish year 10 and 12 and hopefully into university or a trade. I grew up listening to people like Van Morrison and Cat Stevens but I don't sound like anyone I listen to. Robbie Miller, a right-handed batsman who plays for the Gold Coast Dolphins club, played in the Queensland team that won the Imparja Cup for Indigenous cricketers in Alice Springs in February. He is now busy with his new EP.

This young singer and songwriter Robbie Miller is fun loving and is now humbled by the opportunities lay in front of him after winning the National Indigenous Music Award. Picked up a guitar in 2002 draw Robbie Miller's path to stardom and  Eazy Entertainment Australia is so glad that he did.

Jessica Mauboy

Aussie pop and R&B princess Jessica Mauboy is today's Eazy Entertainment's Artist of the Week. Her records have sold over 1.7 million total units in Australia. A singer, songwriter, actress and performer, Jessica never failed to give Australia another reason to be proud of. She is getting set to show Hollywood what she’s made of, was announced as one of the performers at the prestigious Primetime Emmy Awards Governors Ball in Los Angeles last September 22. If you're an emerging Australian artist keen to conquer Hollywood, there are few stages which offer the exposure of American TV's Emmy Awards. Jessica Mauboy has been named as part of the "after show" entertainment at America's annual TV awards.

Jessica Hilda Mauboy was born on the 4th of August 1989 and raised in Darwin, Northern Territory. Her father, Ferdi, is of Indonesian descent who came from West Timor, and her mother, Therese, is an Indigenous Australian. Mauboy is the youngest of five children and from an early age, she was involved in the local church choir with her grandmother. Her home was described as the "noisiest house on the block", with her mother often singing, her father playing guitar and the rest of the family displaying their passion for music. She likes to play the piano while singing songs by Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and the Bee Gees. Mauboy cites Carey and Houston as her musical inspirations, and has said she is a fan of Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé Knowles. Mauboy is often labelled Australia's answer to Beyoncé.

Jessica Mauboy Australian Idol In 2006, Mauboy was the runner-up on the fourth season of Australian Idol, she had auditioned for the talent show in Alice Springs, Northern Territory to pursue a recording career. Mauboy subsequently signed a contract with Sony Music Australia.

Another reason to acknowledge Jessica Mauboy as Eazy Entertainment's Artist of the Week,  is that she has received twelve ARIA Music Awards nominations; she has won one ARIA for 'Highest Selling Single' for "Running Back". In April 2013, she was ranked at number sixteen on the Herald Sun's list of the "100 Greatest Australian Singers of All Time". Aside from her music career, Mauboy has also ventured into acting. She made her acting debut in the film adaptation of the 1990 Aboriginal musical, Bran Nue Dae (2010), and starred in the critically acclaimed film, The Sapphires (2012), which earned her the AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

Jessica Mauboy received two nominations at the 2013 Australian of the Year Awards; she was nominated for Young Australian of the Year and Northern Territory Young Australian of the Year, and won the latter award.

Mauboy's third studio album Beautiful was released on 4 October, which debuted at number three on the ARIA Albums Chart and became her highest-charting album to date.

Mauboy will embark on the To the End of the Earth Tour, her second headlining tour, in November 2013 and January 2014.
